Parts photographed on our own shop floor at Focal Point, Ludhiana — not catalogue images. Every piece shown here was made to a customer drawing or to the standard called up on the order.

Foundation and Anchor Bolt Assemblies

Welded plate assemblies built complete in-house: base plate, triangular stiffener gussets, pipe sleeve and tuck nut where the drawing calls for one. Manufactured up to 110 mm diameter, and in quantity up to 3750 mm long.

Close view of triangular stiffener gussets welded between rod and base plate on foundation bolt assemblies
Stiffener gusset detail Gussets carry the load path from rod into plate so the weld is not working in bending alone.
Foundation bolt assemblies in red oxide primer with pipe sleeve welded below the threaded section
Pipe sleeve assemblies Sleeve welded below the thread leaves the upper section free to flex for setting out on site.
Pipe sleeve and gusset detail on welded plate anchor bolt assemblies, red oxide primed
Sleeve and gusset detail Pipe called up by nominal bore and class on the drawing, cut here by outside diameter and wall thickness.

J and L Type Foundation Bolts

Bent anchors are formed first and heat treated afterwards, so the bend is never made in hardened material. Supplied in property classes 8.8 and 10.9 as well as mild steel.

J type foundation bolts with rolled threads and black finish, manufactured at S R Forgings Ludhiana
J type foundation bolts Threaded one end, curved hook the other. Hook radius controlled to avoid damage at the bend.
L type foundation bolts with 90 degree bend and rolled thread, laid out on the shop floor
L type foundation bolts Square 90° leg instead of a curved hook, where reinforcement clearance decides the shape.
J type foundation bolts loaded on a vehicle for dispatch from S R Forgings
Loaded for dispatch A completed J bolt order going out from Focal Point, Ludhiana.

Special and Made-to-Drawing Anchor Bolts

Where a drawing calls for something outside the standard range, we make to the drawing. These are parts built for a specific specification rather than a catalogue item.

Special anchor bolts with shallow drilled keying pockets along the shank for concrete bond, road over bridge project
Anchor bolts with drilled keying Shallow blind pockets, 5 mm deep, along the embedded length so the concrete keys to the rod instead of relying on a smooth bar. Made for a road over bridge foundation.
Eye end anchor rods with forged loop and rolled thread, red oxide primed
Eye end anchor rods Forged loop at the embedded end so a bar can be passed through and tied into the reinforcement cage.
Rolled thread run out detail on anchor bolts showing transition from shank to thread
Rolled thread detail Threads rolled rather than cut, so the grain follows the thread form instead of being severed. Torque calculator →
