Weights are theoretical, calculated from ISO 13918 nominal head dimensions. Actual supplied weight normally runs one to two per cent higher because of the weld ball, the head-to-shank fillet and rolling tolerance on the bar. Use the calculated figure for costing and freight; use the test certificate for the delivered lot.
The detailing checks compare your layout against the limits in EN 1994-1-1 and IS 11384. This is not a design tool. It does not calculate shear resistance and it will not tell you how many studs a beam needs — that is the designer's calculation. It tells you what your chosen layout comes to, and whether your spacing sits inside code limits. We are a manufacturer, not a design consultancy.
